I reached out to some individuals I have supported on their graduate school journey to share their thoughts on our relationship. Here are the ones I have received.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to support these brilliant people in their academic pursuits. I am glad for the outcomes and successes recorded, and I look forward to celebrating them all through their graduate school journey.
PS: I am still open to receiving feedback. Please do reach out if you'd like to share yours too. I will continue to update the page with the reviews I receive.
Thank you all for your kindness!

Elizabeth.
My first interaction with Elizabeth was in September 2022 when I was her laboratory assistant. But before then, I had spoken with a mentor about my interest in ceramics and he suggested and encouraged me to reach out to her(not only for applications but also for general career advice). How I was going to do this, I didn't know (perks of being shy 😅).
Prior to our meeting, I had an unsuccessful application in 2022. I once again braced up to reapply in the 2023 application season. This would have not been successful without the help of Elizabeth. Despite the time difference and inconveniences, she always find time to help re-access my application materials. Subsequently, I moved on to the next stage -interviews. Her suggestion on having the right mindset enlightened me greatly as it was very helpful.
My most sincere gratitude to Elizabeth. Thank you for your consistent effort to ensure that my 2023 application season was a success.

Working with Elizabeth Adeyemo was a great experience. She helped me clarify my research ideas and academic goals. She also showed me how to connect my work with the work of professors at Notre Dame. Her feedback was helpful and made me feel more confident in my writing. I am thankful for her expertise and dedication, which made my statement better. Now, I feel more confident in my application and writing more generally. We need more of your mentorship dear Elizabeth.

The application timeline for fall 2022 disappointed me. I applied to eight excellent PhD programs in Anthropology and received eight rejections.
I remember being introduced to Elizabeth by a very close friend, and I remember having a Zoom meeting with her in February of 2022, and she was even kind enough to assist me in looking for schools that still had open windows for the fall of 2022. Finally, I remember telling Elizabeth that I would digest all of my failures, learn, and work hard in preparation for the 2023 application season.
For me, the application season for 2023 began in February 2022. I couldn't wait any longer, thanks to Elizabeth's guidance and mentoring. Similarly to today, I recall sending her every document I've written and her assisting with suggestions, contributions, and even evacuating redundancy. I had chosen another 8 schools, but this season, her mentorship taught me how to write great cold emails and set up zoom meetings with potential supervisors to solve the problem of "Fit." I recall her assisting me with my SOPs, Personal Statements, Writing samples, Fee Waiver Application, and many other aspects of the application process.
I can say with confidence that they paid off. On January 3, I received my first positive response, a request for an interview. I also recall having dummy interviews with Elizabeth (very funny moments), and I recall her calling me at different times to offer suggestions that suddenly occurred to her. They were beneficial, as I received three positive responses from fantastic programs.
My testimony would be incomplete if I did not mention that Elizabeth is still very helpful in accepting my application to my top choice school, applying for travel grants, and many other things.
Thank you so much!

Elizabeth is an amazing person.
I remember when I wanted to start my graduate school applications and I just knew I wanted to work on bones, I never left her DM and I was constantly sharing very different ideas with her until I finally figured it all out to this point.
Fast forward to getting my documents together (from my cold emails to my application documents), she helped in restructuring my CV, read my SOPs. When I got my interview invites, she helped prepare for my interview, worked on my posture, body language and better structuring of responses to possible questions. She stood by me cause really applications could be emotionally and physically draining. The long calls to figure out issues.
I'm grateful it all paid off well! See me getting into all my programs.

Dear Elizabeth,
I write with so much Joy in my heart today; I just recieved my first admission offer into a PhD. Program in Anthropology!
I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to you particularly, for guiding me through the entire process; you took your time to go through my materials and showed me where, and how to look at things.
At the interview stage, the mock session which we had, prepared me for subsequent interviews.
Again, I really appreciate your unwavering support and words of encouragement. It means a lot to me!

I am Moses, a novice to graduate school application as at August 2021.
My journey through graduate school application started when I first met Elizabeth in 2020. She organized a webinar where she discussed the rudiments of writing a good CV. My CV which I first developed after this webinar has been acclaimed by most prospective advisers I contacted.
In August 2021, I was motivated to initiate my graduate school application just a few months before my final exams as an undergraduate. As a first-timer, I sent my draft to Elizabeth for review and she gladly welcome my request.
A few days later, the documents came back painted in blues and reds. I wasn't surprised though as this was my first time. Hours later, she followed up the reviewed documents with a call where she addressed the issues raised in the document again. This kind gesture eased the tension already built up in me from the neatly painted documents.
After several reviews with Elizabeth, I submitted 8 applications to the United States and Canada. After about three months, I got 6 offers of admission with full funding and 1 rejection based on funding (although my application was acclaimed by the faculty as the strongest). My final application also looks positive as the department is processing fund enough to sustain an international student.
I am extremely happy for the invaluable contributions of Elizabeth to my graduate school application. They are indeed golden.

"Throughout my application journey, I found a source of consistent, honest and thorough feedback in Ms.Elizabeth. These feedbacks were often not sugarcoated, but still delivered with care. As busy as her schedule often is, she still found time to review my application materials. Reflecting on my journey, I realized not so many people would do this for other people except they are getting paid for it -- and she did all these without taking a dime."

Hello, my name is Bolu, I'm an Archaeologist.
I'm indeed grateful to Elizabeth for her support and guidance during the course of my applications for a PhD program in the US. Her vast experience helped guide my thoughts and writings.
I applied to four institutions, and I recall she read through most of my SoPs and reverted them with critical reviews/comments.
Also, after submission and I was invited for interviews, Elizabeth created hours to help prepare me for my interviews.
She is a selfless person, imagine waking up early in the morning to an interview preparatory meeting which went on for hours. Wow, she is one of my MVPs.
So when my offers came, she was one of the first set of persons I shared the news with, her jubilation was fantastic and I was ecstatic about sharing the news with her.🥳
Overall, I am glad I met you, grateful for your support, and thank you for being a wonderful person. 🤭
So you know, I will be joining my first choice institution (UCSC) in the Fall session.. yaay.😁😁
Thank you for reading.🤗
Yours,
Bolu.
Elizabeth is the most qualified person to have by your side for school applications. She is not only proactive throughout the process, she's also supportive and empathetic. She set up zoom meetings and patiently went over my different applications no matter how lengthy. Elizabeth helped me express my thoughts in a lucid and easily relatable manner without taking away the originality of my ideas. Elizabeth gave plenty room for feedback, and followed up even after my applications.
After getting accepted into my program, Elizabeth, who is highly experienced with international school applications, helped me to fill my DS-160 form, and to complete other requirements needed for grad school in the US, down to sharing nuggets about affordable flights and accommodation.
She not only supported me through the application, but also gave emotional and moral support. Her concern and kindness shines through in everything she does, and I'm so grateful to have had someone like Elizabeth actively involved in my grad school transitioning. I would definitely recommend her to all my friends and loved ones who would need assistance in any form of application at all as she leads from a place of vast experience and expertise.

Elizabeth is a big flex! She was my student-mentor in college. She was always available to help with materials, tutorials, and extracurricular activities. Upon my graduation and subsequent enrollment at the University of Ibadan Graduate School for my Master's degree program, she continued to be a very resourceful mentor. During that period, we were thousands of kilometers apart. However, despite the time difference and her busy schedule, Elizabeth followed up keenly on my progress. She was glad to read, edit, and make invaluable suggestions to my thesis manuscripts.
After my Masters, I was opportune to work on field sites with Elizabeth. During that period, I learned proper field logistics and methods from her. Beyond academics, she was genuinely interested in how her mentees and others around her faired, without jeopardy to respect for personal space. During that period, Elizabeth encouraged me to apply to a graduate school outside Nigeria. During the application, she answered all of my multiple questions. She painstakingly put me through writing a Statement of Purpose and putting an academic CV together. Though Elizabeth is known for strict and thorough editing of CVs, her guidance through graduate school application is known among her younger peers to be very valuable.
I got into graduate school with a fantastic funding offer with Elizabeth's guidance. And as icing on the cake, Elizabeth still checks up to see how I am faring in graduate school; she serves as my repository for academic papers; she shares grants opportunities with me; she still willingly reviews and edits my papers.
Thank you, Scholar Elizabeth.
